Cross Country Cares
Cross Country Education’s employees realize the need for a philanthropic touch to the corporate work environment. To satisfy this need, employees developed the “Cross Country Cares” program. Each month, a non-profit organization is chosen to be the recipient of donations collected from CCE employees. Whether it is a national or middle -Tennessee organization - employees suggest the “Cares” recipient each month. For every $5.00 donated by an individual employee, she/he may wear jeans one day during the work week! In addition to our “Cares” program, we save toner cartridges for a local school Parent-Teacher Organization, some employees donate whole blood to the American Red Cross every 56 days, give supplies to the local animal shelter, and donate their time, talents and money to non-company related activities. We are very proud to have a great team of employees that are always eager to lend a helping hand, not just a hand-out, to those in need.

February 2010  The American Red Cross
Since its founding in 1881 by visionary leader Clara Barton, the American Red Cross has been the nation's premier emergency response organization. As part of a worldwide movement that offers neutral humanitarian care to the victims of war, the American Red Cross distinguishes itself by also aiding victims of devastating natural disasters. Over the years, the organization has expanded its services, always with the aim of preventing and relieving suffering. An average of 92 cents of every dollar the American Red Cross spends is invested in humanitarian services and programs. The Red Cross is not a government agency; it relies on donations of time, money, and blood to do its work. As of the beginning of February, the American Red Cross has spent or committed more than $67 million to meet the most urgent needs of the earthquake survivors in Haiti.
