Cross Country Cares

Cross Country Education’s employees realize the need for a philanthropic touch to the corporate work environment. To satisfy this need, employees developed the “Cross Country Cares” program. Each month, a non-profit organization is chosen to be the recipient of donations collected from CCE employees. Whether it is a national or middle-Tennessee organization - employees suggest the “Cares” recipient each month. For every $5.00 donated by an individual employee, she/he may wear jeans one day during the work week! In addition to our “Cares” program, we save toner cartridges for a local school Parent-Teacher Organization, some employees donate whole blood to the American Red Cross every 56 days, give supplies to the local animal shelter, and donate their time, talents and money to non-company related activities. We are very proud to have a great team of employees that are always eager to lend a helping hand, not just a hand-out, to those in need.

2008 Organizations | 2007 Organizations | 2006 Organizations

October 2005: Lee National Denim Day®
We were excited to kick-off our “Cross Country Cares” program by participating in this wonderful fundraiser. This is the world’s largest single-day fundraiser with donations going to support the Susan G. Komen Foundation. Numerous women and men are affected by breast cancer every year. Our employees are no different – this is an organization near and dear to many that work at CCE. Instead of a single-day fundraising, we collected donations for the entire month of October!

November 2005: Nashville Rescue Mission
The Nashville Rescue Mission is a local organization founded by Dr. Charles Fuller. We were happy to donate commercial-sized cans of food to be used at the Nashville Rescue Mission’s to serve Nashville’s homeless.

December 2005: Salvation Army Angel Tree
In addition to collecting monetary donations, we adopted 3 young angels and collected the items on their lists. We were so overwhelmed by the generosity of our employees and were pleased to donate the additional items to the "forgotten angels."
