Track 2
202 - Diagnosis, Treatment and Performance Enhancement of Runners
Jamey C. Gordon DPT, PT, ATC, CSCS
This session focuses on developing strategies for not only treating running-related injuries, but also developing improved speed in your athletes. Treating and training athletes requires us to completely understand the anatomy, mechanics, and variables of running. Getting to the origin of a problem-causing injury or limited performance is the most important step. Course participants will explore techniques and assessment skills specific to running, as well as use of video technology, and will return to their rehabilitation settings with applicable concepts and skills. Clinicians will come away excited about providing improved results and in turn, their running rehab patients will demonstrate a more positive attitude about their recovery.
