104 - Articular Cartilage Anatomy, Physiology and Post-Operative Repair Rehabilitation
Robert C. Manske PT, DPT, M.Ed., SCS, ATC, CSCS
This session will discuss the oftentimes fragile articular cartilage. An overview of articular cartilage, including incidence of injury, anatomy and physiology, will be given. Of critical importance in treating this pathology is the ability to determine the extent of cartilage damage. Arthroscopic images and videos will be used to enhance attendees' understanding of these lesions. This will lay the foundation for various post-surgical rehabilitation methods that will be discussed. Following this session the attendee should be able to develop postoperative rehabilitation programs designed with these complex patients in mind.
