304 - Pharmacology for the Rehab Professional

Perhaps one of the weakest areas in rehab education, this topic will dynamically cover pharmacology utilizing case studies from different practice settings. The more popular medications in rehab settings, including: pain meds, antiinfl ammatories, muscle relaxers, cardiac meds and antianxiety meds will be discussed. Side effects that can affect rehab will be specifically discussed, along with drug interaction risks. Vitamin and mineral supplements can also be discussed as it relates to this topic. Handout will provide a quick reference for clinicians.
