105 - Categories of Glenohumeral Impingement and Progression of Rotator Cuff Injury

Robert C. Manske PT, DPT, M.Ed., SCS, ATC, CSCS

Discuss the various components of glenohumeral impingement. Additionally, techniques used for evaluation of this common shoulder implication will be reviewed. Evidence-based exercise prescriptions depend on the type of impingement encountered and will be thoroughly discussed. The ultimate progression of impingement is a rotator cuff tear. This session will further discuss factors associated with rotator cuff disease and give evidence-based therapeutic rehabilitation techniques commonly used following this frequent surgical procedure. Advanced examination skills will be discussed, giving the attendee the ability to more accurately diagnose these conditions.
