Track 1
107 - Post-Arthroscopy Rehabilitation for the Hip
Michael P. Reiman PT, DPT, OCS, ATC, CSCS
Hip arthroscopy is still a relatively new surgical procedure and post-operative rehabilitation is in the infancy stage. Surgical procedures of the hip require careful and systematically planned rehabilitation strategies for the best outcomes. General discussion of various arthroscopic surgical procedures will be discussed so the attendee will better understand specific rehabilitation exercises and protocols. Specific exercises, as well as their advantages and disadvantages, will be discussed as they relate not only to the specific surgical procedure, but various clients.
