Speaker's Bio Testimonials

Teachers, mental health professionals and parents are regularly challenged with oppositional and defiant children. Such behavior is commonly seen in children with attachment disorders and PTSD. Professionals and parents often do not know how to handle these children.

In this comprehensive one-day workshop, attendees will be given a practical training program to deal with oppositional children. The program will help professionals and parents understand the development of oppositional behaviors and provide step-by-step interventions. The usefulness of medications and behavioral interventions will be presented. Attachment theory and resolving power struggles with children will form the basis of intervention. The power of playtime, rewarding small changes, consistent consequences, time-out and training for compliance will be presented. This program is an essential seminar for any Teacher, Therapist or Parent who is having difficulty with non-compliant children.
