At Cross Country Education, we have highly skilled professionals from across the nation transforming the lives of students in the schools they serve every day. We take great pride in their shared passion for education, and we love passing along their words of wisdom, advice for those embarking on their careers, and insights into the rewarding field of education.
This week, we celebrate Behavior Intervention Implementation Specialist (BII) Diamonique H. Here are Diamonique’s thoughts on why she became a BII, why she prefers Cross Country Education, and what she would say to those just starting out.
Why did you become a Behavior Intervention Implementation Specialist (BII)?
I became a BII because I simply love helping people. I always knew that I wanted to work in the education field, but I didn't always know what I wanted to do specifically. As a BII, I have the opportunity to work one-on-one with students, which makes me feel like I'm making a significant difference in my students' lives.
What do you like about Cross Country Education?
I like that Cross Country Education provides a lot of support. As much as I love my job, it can be difficult at times, but I've never felt like I was alone. There's always someone I can talk to and seek advice from. Also, CCE always does periodical check-ups just to see how I'm doing, which shows me they care about their employees.
What kind of advice would you give to those just starting to provide virtual BII services?
If you are new to providing virtual BII services, I would suggest being open-minded and going with the flow. Doing this job virtually can bring on many challenges, but it's nothing that you can't handle. Don't worry about the things you can't fix. If you focus on the goal and the needs of your students, everything will be fine.
Thank you, Diamonique, for all you do! We are grateful to have you as a part of the Cross Country Education team!
