Why did you become a Substitute Teacher?
I like that I get to connect with kids and staff from different districts.
What do you like about Cross Country Education?
I like how flexible assignments are, with the Absence and Substitute website being very helpful in choosing which schools I am available to work at.
What have you liked about your experience working at schools with Cross Country Education?
It means so much when I am recognized by the teacher and students. I like that I get to connect and make an impact at different schools and various settings, each experience is different, and I love how each day is unique. The ability to work and teach the students is something new that I've learned to enjoy.
What kind of advice would you give to those starting out in your field?
Be open to new things! Every school is different and so is every kiddo! But that is what makes this field so awesome, you get the chance to explore new possibilities and classrooms, different grades, different subjects. Lastly, be yourself, and show your heart, it can get you far in this field.
