Here, Claudia shares why she decided to become a behavior interventionist, what she enjoys most about working with the Cross Country Education team and schools, and what advice she has for behavior interventionists just embarking on their careers.
Why did you become a behavior interventionist?
I became a behavior interventionist because I love working with kids on the spectrum and guiding them through the tools needed to succeed academically and socially.
What do you like about Cross Country Education?
Cross Country Education is an agency that cares for the well-being of their workers and makes sure their employees are comfortable in their assignments.
What have you liked about your experience working at schools with Cross Country Education?
Luckily, I’ve only worked with one school. The school has allowed me to grow with them. I love creating meaningful friendships with co-workers and students. I feel joy knowing we are all part of a team created to help everyone be their best selves.
What advice would you give to behavior interventionists just starting out in the field?
Be passionate about wanting to make a difference. No matter how little, progress is still progress. Remember to treat kids with the same respect you want in return. Be a role model!
