At Cross Country Education, we have the best of the best from across the nation impacting the lives of students in the schools they serve every day. This week, we celebrate behavior interventionist Matthew C.
Matthew shares why he decided to become a behavior interventionist, what he loves most about working with the Cross Country Education team, and what he would tell behavior interventionists just embarking on their careers.
Why did you become a behavior interventionist?
I became a behavior interventionist because my experience in the field of special education has proven to be incredibly rewarding. Every day, I am given the opportunity to have a lasting positive impact on a student. Education can help break down social barriers and change communities for the better.
What have you liked about your experience working at schools as a behavior interventionist with Cross Country Education?
My time working at schools with Cross Country Education has always provided me with a new experience to learn from. No student, nor school is the same, but CCE supports you through every step of the way to ensure you can perform your job to the best of your ability.
What kind of advice would you give to those just starting out as a behavior interventionist?
My advice for those starting out in as a behavior interventionist is to always keep an open mind and have patience. Interacting with others of differing abilities gives students and educators a chance to learn and create bonds with one another. This happens over time with a sense of care and understanding.
Thank you, Matthew, for all you do as a behavior interventionist in the schools! We are grateful to have you as part of the Cross Country Education team!
