Celebrating School CNA, Melissa S.
At Cross Country Education, we're honored to work with professionals from across the nation who are dedicated to improving kids' lives daily! We take great pride in their shared passion for helping students succeed, and we love passing along their insight to inspire others interested in school positions. This time, we're spotlighting one of our amazing school CNAs.
Here's why Melissa decided to become a school CNA, what she enjoys most about working with the Cross Country Education team and schools, and what advice she has for CNAs starting their careers.
Why did you become a Certified Nursing Assistant?
I became a CNA because I cared for my grandfather until he passed, and I realized this was where my heart is, helping others.
What do you like about working through Cross Country Education (CCE)?
I like that Cross Country Education is all about finding what is best for you and your needs first. I always feel appreciated and heard.
What have you liked about working at the schools with CCE?
I like working with schools alongside CCE because they are always so welcoming to us and accommodating to our needs.
What advice would you give someone starting as a school CNA?
If I would give anyone advice starting in my field, it would be to give yourself grace, ask necessary questions, be engaged and stay professional. Lastly, have patience, because this job is very rewarding at the end of the day. You will be amazed how quickly you grow and succeed in your new role.
