San Jose is considered the Capital of Silicon Valley. This town is techy and futuristic. It’s diverse and bustling. And on top of that, it’s got greenspaces and Green Vision, a comprehensive strategy to lead the nation in sustainability. The city covers around 180 square miles, is home to nearly 1 million people, has an average daily temperature of 60 degrees, and gets about 300 days of sunshine each year.

Originally inhabited by the Ohlone people, the area changed hands from Spanish to Mexican to American rule. With roots in invention, innovation, agriculture, manufacturing, and technology, there is much to discover about San Jose’s past.
